A higher education institution provided its students with laptop computers that were upgraded every two years. There was no IT policy for the equipment and laptops were given back to the manufacturer once they were returned to the institution.
TechReset worked with the school’s Director of Procurement and IT department to create and implement an end-of-life technology policy that streamlined processes. Since 2009, the institution has received more than $5 million for the returned laptops.
TechReset has worked with this organization since 2009 and has instituted a bursary program that benefits one student per year $800/year.
